I am still tired. I slept for ten hours, but then I had to work till 1 am tonight. So yeah, still tired.

Story Wars still needs a Farnsworth and hopefully a Spock to replace someone with a conflict.

I have a new way to do the Overlords and Minions competition now. Instead of a strategy dueling game that took way too long to do, I'm going to do it as a tag team pokemon battle, with the Overlords standing behind their minions and issuing commands. "Jayne Cobb, use your gun attack!" It'll be weird, but much quicker.

One of the interesting tidbits of work is that we have different game systems set up to run game demos for people to try out. Currently, two systems are set up for Rock Band Beatles and Band Hero, respectively. It doesn't have full band set up, just guitars. It is nice listening to people play the songs now and then, because they actually play the complete song.

When people aren't playing them, the systems go into trailer mode. In this mode, it just runs through various song fragments from the game. It does this every couple of minutes. After a month or two of listening to that, they all start to blur together, until I start hearing things like this:

He knelt to the ground and pulled out a ring and said, "I am the walrus. It's a love story. Baby just say Goo Goo G'joob."

or ...

Everybody was kung fu fighting in an octopus' garden, in the shade. Like whoa, whoa.

This is your brain on song fragments. Any questions? :)

Home from work. Black Friday is done. It was smooth and efficient, one of the better Black Fridays I've dealt with. I'm pretty frikkin pleased with it. :)

There's still tomorrow, but the second busiest retail day of the year is now done.
