Okay, so we've finally decided that the next game we're going to create will be the sequel to Tis No Deceit to Deceive the Deceiver.  Technically, it's not a sequel, just more of another musical game.  Although I suppose we could portray the world as it might be later on based on events from Tis No Deceit.  I'm not sure that part matters as much.

It's going to be called Interesting Times, mainly because that was the name of the curse that caused all of the singing in the first game.  We are going for a hero and villain theme this time, with original style heroes and villains.  They will all be fairly lame heroes and villains, kind of like something out of the Tick, Dr. Horrible, Venture Bros.  It'll probably be people like the Paradox, Beefcake Guy & Cheesecake Girl - there's always at least one of each amongst all heroes, so we might as well just call them that.  I could imagine their powers being the ability to appear stunning and show up in all pin-up calenders everywhere.  That sounds almost nefarious actually, so maybe they should be villains.

I now also want to include a villainous duo of Rule 34 and his partner The pr0n.  The pair's standard crime would involve filling their victims heads with such horrible images, they can do nothing but cringe in horror, or possibly ecstasy, depending on the victim.  This leaves them free to rob banks or whatever else they wish to do, unimpeded.

There are just tons of lame ideas out there waiting to be abused.

We are still going to create a game called pr0n sometime and probably run it in the Camelot pool.  It just doesn't fit for Intercon, since the pool does not stay open late enough that we can be sure there wouldn't be kids around.

We had also had an idea for a game about famous detectives, similar in style to other famous character games we've written.  That idea was inspired by such movies as Murder by Death and Clue.  This was the blurb I wrote for it, right before we realized someone else was already running a game based on Murder by Death.  Their game sounds as though it is a serious one and ours will be anything but, so I feel there is room for both to exist, just not at the same convention.  So it is something we will also write at some point.  This is the blurb for it:

"In a lone mansion, in a secluded area, on a dark and stormy night, the world's greatest detectives gathered.  It was a supposed to be a game, a friendly challenge, a chance to prove who was the best.  It was declared that someone would be murdered and they would have until dawn to find the killer.  The storm knocked out the phone lines, the bridge, and all other means of leaving or communicating with the outside world, as it so often does in these situations.  That's just standard operating procedure for these people.  The security locks on the doors that won't open until dawn are slightly beyond normal.

When the murder happened and the host was dead, many were surprised, but all rallied and begin tossing about theories.  Clues were searched for and alibis checked.  Staff was questioned and leads were followed.

It is now four hours till dawn and ten murders later.  Theories have been shattered and no one trusts each other at all anymore.  Old rivalries have flared and some seem to be accusing each other without any real proof.  The only thing these detectives know for certain is they have either a serial killer on their hands or they have multiple murderers to catch.  With all the staff dead at this point, the killer or killers are amongst their own.

Welcome to <insert game name here>, a game that is loosely inspired by such films as Murder by Death and Clue.  This is a tongue-in-cheek detective game where the crime solving may not always make perfect sense, but will hopefully at least be melodramatic and interesting, much like in the movies.  Dark secrets will likely be revealed and accusations tossed about.  This will be a game of intrigue and accusations, with a dash of paranoia.

Like some of our other games, the characters in this game will be drawn from famous fictional detectives and thrown into this one modern world setting.  Characters will include the likes of Sherlock Holmes, Sam Spade, Shawn Spencer, Patrick Jane, Adrien Monk, Columbo, Veronica Mars, Abby Sciuto, Jessica Flecther, Temperance 'Bones' Brennan and others."
